Understanding Certificate Validity from Atlantic Training

At Atlantic Training, we are dedicated to providing high-quality educational resources designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in various critical areas. It's important for our customers to understand the nature and validity of the certificates

Our training materials, including those for CPR, are developed to be supplemental learning tools. This means they are designed to:

  • Provide valuable foundational knowledge.

  • Reinforce existing understanding.

  • Offer convenient access to learning resources.

  • Support continuous professional development.

The Validity of Your Atlantic Training Certificates

Unlike formal, nationally recognized certifications (such as those issued by organizations like the American Heart Association or American Red Cross for CPR), certificates from Atlantic Training do not have a defined "expiration date" in the same way.

Here's why:

  • Focus on Knowledge Transfer: Our certificates acknowledge your completion of a specific learning module and your comprehension of the material presented. The knowledge you gain remains with you.

  • Not a Replacement for Hands-On Certification: Our programs are not intended to replace the rigorous, hands-on training and practical skill evaluations required for official certifications. Formal certifications are typically renewed periodically (commonly every two years for CPR) to ensure practical proficiency and adherence to the latest guidelines.

  • Continuous Learning: The information and best practices in fields like emergency response are constantly evolving. While your Atlantic Training certificate doesn't expire, we encourage continuous learning and staying updated with the latest guidelines.

Important Note on CPR Training

For CPR, specifically:

  • Formal CPR certifications generally require renewal every two years. This renewal often involves both updated theoretical knowledge and a hands-on skills assessment.

  • Atlantic Training's CPR content provides comprehensive theoretical understanding and procedural steps. However, it does not include the in-person, practical evaluation necessary for official, workplace-recognized CPR certification.

Therefore, if you require an official, nationally recognized CPR certification for employment, regulatory compliance, or any other formal purpose, we strongly recommend that you pursue a hands-on course from a certified provider (e.g., American Heart Association, American Red Cross) in addition to utilizing our supplemental materials.

In summary, while your certificate from Atlantic Training signifies successful completion of our supplemental learning program, it does not expire. However, it is crucial to seek and maintain formal, hands-on certifications for specific requirements, as these typically have a renewal cycle to ensure practical competency and adherence to current standards.
