Did you find an interesting YouTube video, or did you upload your own video to YouTube, and do you want it to be in your custom course? Then this article is for you.
This article will guide you through the process of obtaining embed codes from YouTube videos specifically for use in custom courses within WAVE. Embed codes allow you to easily integrate YouTube videos directly into your custom course, providing a richer learning experience for your students.
Please note that embedding is only allowed if the video uploader has enabled embedding for their video.
Instructions:
- Navigate to the YouTube video: Open your web browser and go to the YouTube video you wish to embed in your custom course.
- Click the "Share" button: Located below the video player, you'll find a "Share" button. Click on it.
- Select the "Embed" option: A pop-up menu will appear. Within this menu, locate and click on the "Embed" option.
- Copy the embed code: A text box will appear containing the embed code. Select the entire code within the box. You can typically do this by clicking inside the box and pressing Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac) to select all, then Ctrl+C (Windows) or Cmd+C (Mac) to copy. Alternatively, right-click within the box and choose "Copy."
- Paste the embed code into WAVE: Now that you've copied the embed code (if available), you can paste it into the Embed Code section of your custom course.
